Student membership
The BNCS is happy to offer bone fide students with an interest in Horticulture Membership at the reduced Student Rate of £7-50. This is normally only available for a maximum of 3 years whilst still a full time student. Student members receive full benefits of membership; two tickets to our shows (with free entry to RHS Wisley gardens and RHS Westminster Autumn Show on BNCS show days), Yearbook, free cultural book, two Newsletters, monthly e mail publication “The Dianthus Times”, full access to our website www.carnations.org.uk including the discussion forum and cultural advice from our experts.
The society appeals to a wide range of interests in the genus Dianthus and includes all varieties, perpetuals, borders pinks alpines species and Sweet Williams. Members include exhibitors, amateur and professional growers, breeders, flower arrangers plant historians etc. etc. There is the scope to develop areas such as micropropagation, video productions, IT aspects, genetic engineering as well as conventional culture. Whether you just want to enjoy the relaxing beauty of our shows, learn more about dianthus or get more actively involved, this is the society for you!
