Mondriaan. Do you grow this variety?

A reader of Garden News the weekly newspaper for gardeners has asked the BNCS to try and locate the carnation Mondriaan. It was registered in 1989. It was a short growing variety usually grown as a “pot” carnation much like a pink would be grown. The description in the International Register reads “Flowers double, ground deep and dark red edged white, petal margins toothed. Pot type”. The reader is a Mrs Mason, tel: 01204 383566. Please contact her directly if you have a plant and can provide a cutting. I do hope someone will be able to help.

We have had a response from a member pointing out that it is being produced by Dutch growers as a commercial pot plant. Does anyone know where it is on sale in the UK?
